The Registration Options field is one of the core building blocks of your page. It’s where you set up and display the main registration options for your registrants. to choose from. This field gives you a wide range of customization. For example, you can quickly name each registration option, set pricing, limit capacity, add a waitlist, show remaining availability, and more. This article will walk you through how to set up and customize your Registration Options field to fit your event’s needs.

Getting Started
Pro Tip: By default, the Registration Options field only allows registrants to select one option per field. If you’d like to let registrants choose more than one option, we recommend using a Multiple Choice field instead.
However, keep in mind that Multiple Choice fields don’t have features like Group Size Requirements, or Waitlists. You also cannot set a combined capacity limit across all options with a Multiple Choice field. If you need any of these features, the Registration Options field is the better choice.
From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page you want to edit
Hover over your page, and click the green + icon where you want to add the field
Add the Registration Options field
Customize Your Registration Options Field Settings
Customize the Label as desired. This is the field title that appears on your live page and in your reports
Toggle the Required field to Yes or No. When a field is required, registrants must select an option before they can submit their order
Toggle the Financial Options field to Yes or No. If this option is turned on, you can enter a financial amount for your registration options
Toggle the Limit Capacity field to Yes or No. If this setting is turned on, RedPodium will limit the total capacity of your event across all registration options within the Registration Options field. In RedPodium, you can also set supply limits on individual registration options (click here to learn how to do so)
Pro Tip: In RedPodium, you can limit the overall capacity of your event and set individual limits for specific registration options. When both are enabled, RedPodium will enforce both limits.
For example, let's assume you are hosting an event, and your venue can only hold 800 people. You offer three registration options: General Admission, VIP, and Senior. Your General Admission and Senior registration options don't have individual limits, your VIP registration option is limited to 100 registrants. You want to ensure no more than 800 total registrants, while also capping VIP registrations at 100.
To do this in RedPodium, first enable the Limit Capacity feature, and set the capacity to 800. This ensures you will will only sell up to 800 registrations. Then, scroll to the VIP registration option, and enable the Limited Supply feature. Set the supply to 100, which caps your VIP registrations at 100 (even if spots are still available for your event overall).
Adjust the Display As setting. This changes how the Registration Field displays on your live page
Dropdown shows your registration options field as a dropdown menu
Radios displays your registration options field as radios
Toggle on Group Size Requirements if you want to require your registrants to register a specific amount of people when they choose a specific registration option. When this is turned on, one or more of your registration options can have this group size requirement. Click here to learn more about how to set up a group size requirement

Rather, we recommend hiding the field, as hiding the field offers more customizability and fewer issues. Click here to learn how to hide a field on RedPodium
If you need to delete a registration option, click the trash can icon next to the option
Warning: If at least one registrant has already selected a registration option and you later want to remove it from the published page, we strongly advise against deleting the option. Doing so will permanently remove all data from this field from reports, including past responses.
Instead of deleting the option, we recommend hiding the field so your registrant data is retained. Click here if you would like to learn how to hide a field in RedPodium.

Can I edit the reference name?
Can I edit the reference name?
The reference name cannot be edited after the field is created. The reference name by default will be whatever label you gave the field at the time it was first saved.
If the field hasn't collected any data and you'd like to change its reference name, you can delete the field and create a new one. When setting up the new field, enter the desired reference name in the Label field and click Done. After saving, you can update the field’s label to something different. The original reference name will remain unchanged even if the label is edited later.
Note: If your field has already collected data but you want to change its reference name, do not delete the field. This will delete all data from previous registrants. Instead, we recommend hiding the existing field and creating a new one with the updated reference name. Click here to learn how to hide your fields in RedPodium.
Note: Creating a new field will result in two columns in your reports. One column will show data from registrants who submitted a registration before the change. The second column will display data from registrants who submitted a registration after the new field was added.
