A virtual race allows your runners or cyclists to register, pay and participate in your race, completely online. If your race event has been impacted by COVID-19, take your event online by hosting a virtual race. You can also expand your reach by offering an online option with this great feature.

πŸ‘‰ Virtual Races is currently in BETA. To unlock this feature, message the support team with the chat bubble on the bottom, right corner of this page.

Building Your Registration Page

Begin by selecting New Page.

Select Virtual Race as your event type.

You will also use this menu to give your event a name, a currency, and to estimate how many registrants you expect to attend.

Next, you can follow the prompts to add your logo and choose your theme.

Don't worry! This can all be updated or changed later.

Finally, use the Page Builder to format your registration options.

You can also merchandise sales, collect donations, and much more. Building your page is covered in detail here, but I have also linked up some helpful tutorials below to get you started.

Formatting Your Virtual Race

When your page design is complete and your registration options have been added, you're ready to format your Virtual Race Results.

All of these settings live under the Virtual Race dropdown in your page builder.

Choose the start and end window of when registrants can submit their results.

You can send reminder emails to your registrants to remind them when the result submission window is open, and when it's about to close.

Edit your Division Results

Divisions will pull from only one of your registration options or multiple choice fields on your form. Another option is you can change and make your race an open division by selecting, No Divisions.

Edit EACH division to ensure the type of event, distance, tracking types, and categories are entered properly.

Once a result has been submitted, you cannot edit divisions.

Save and Publish.

FAQs

Can I switch my In-Person RedPodium event to a Virtual Race?

Not at this time. A solution to get enable your previous registrants to move over to your new virtual ace registration page would be to mass cancel all of the previous registrants and issues them a coupon for their paid amount to register again.
