The registration transfer feature lets a registrant who can no longer attend an event pass their registration to someone else instead of requesting a refund. You can turn this on for registrants to manage themselves, or initiate a transfer for them directly from your RedPodium account.
In this article, we'll cover how to enable registration transfers, initiate a transfer request from your account, let registrants transfer a registration from your live page and the Account Center, and cancel a pending transfer request.
Note: When a registration is transferred, the original registrant is refunded and the new recipient is charged. The new recipient is charged the current price of your registration options on the live page, not necessarily the price the original registrant paid.

Registrant Experience
Registration transfers can be initiated by you or requested by the original registrant through your live event page or the Registrant Account Center, depending on the options you enable.
Once the transfer request is initiated, the recipient claims the transfer and pays for the registration. Once the transfer is complete, the original registrant receives a refund. Use the options below to view the registrant experience for each transfer method.
Note: When a registration is transferred, the original registrant is refunded and the new recipient is charged. The new recipient is charged the current price of your registration options on the live page, not necessarily the price the original registrant paid.
For example, assume Susan buys a registration during the early bird sale for $250. After the sale ends, she realizes she can’t attend and decides to transfer the registration to her friend George. When George clicks the claim transfer link in his email, he is taken to the live event page, where the system automatically selects the same registration option Susan originally purchased. Since the current registration price is now $350, George pays the updated registration price of $350. After the transfer is complete, Susan receives a refund for $250.

Can I let my team transfer registrations without allowing registrants to transfer their own registrations?
Can I let my team transfer registrations without allowing registrants to transfer their own registrations?
In RedPodium, enabling registration transfers allows both your team and registrants to transfer registrations. There is no separate setting that limits transfers to your team.
To let your team handle transfers without giving registrants that option, enable registration transfers and turn off the Registrant Account Center for the event page. Registrants will then be unable to access the Account Center to transfer their registrations.
Why don't I see the option to transfer registrations?
Why don't I see the option to transfer registrations?
The most common reason you don't see this option is that you have not enabled registration transfers. The registration transfer option must be enabled for your event page before anyone can transfer registrations, including your team on the back end. If you don’t see the option to transfer a registration, check that registration transfers are enabled. Click here to learn how.
Another common reason you may not see the option is that you’re outside the date range set for registration transfers. If transfers are enabled but the transfer option doesn’t appear, check your transfer date settings to confirm that transfers are currently available.
