You can allow your registrants to create, join, and manage team sign-ups in RedPodium.
Add the team field to your page.
Use the menu to customize the label and description.
You can make it required, allow password protection, and/or limit your team size.
Save and publish your changes.
Now your registrants will have the option to create a team:

You can view your existing teams in your page builder under the Teams tab.
Note: Team Captain will receive a daily email. The email only sends on days when people join the team. So if a day passes and nobody joins the team, the Captain would not receive the email.

Yes, you can do that from the live page (as if you were them) or by clicking this option here:
How long do changes to the Team name take to reflect on the main page?
These changes can take up to 24 hours to reflect.
