Boost your event’s visibility on Google with our Google Event Discovery feature. This tool allows your event to be listed in Google’s Event Listings, making it easier for people to find and attend your event through Google Search and other Google tools, like Google Maps. This article will walk you through the process of enabling Google Event Discovery!

Enable Google Event Discovery

  • From the Pages screen, click the pencil icon on the page that you'd like to edit

  • Hover your mouse over the Promote tab in the top menu bar

  • Select Google Event Discovery from the dropdown

  • Toggle on Turn on Google Events Listing

  • Once enabled, add the required fields. This includes the Event Name, Start Date and End Date, Location Name, Address, and Page Description (optional) fields

  • Click Save Changes

  • Click Publish to publish these changes to your live page

Pro Tip: Once you turn on Google Event Discovery, your event is ready to be indexed by Google.

Keep in mind that visibility and listing are controlled by Google, and it may take some time before your event appears in search results. In our experience, it typically takes about a week, and sometimes longer, for Google to pick up your event and display it in their Event Listings. Timing can vary depending on Google’s indexing process and algorithms.

FAQs

Why isn't my page showing up under Google Events?

You event page might not be showing under Google's event listing yet because Google's time to recognize this new event and list it can take some time.

To help speed things up, we recommend making sure your event page is publically accessible and shared online. For example, you can add the link to your website, or post it on a platform like Facebook. If you're using a custom domain with your event page, you can also set up a Google Search Console account. This allows you to request indexing and may improve how quickly Google crawls and lists your page.
