Password Protect or Restrict Access to Your Page

Make your registration page private. Only grant access to people who have the password

Written by Maddy

If you want to restrict access to your RegFox registration page to select participants, password protection is an effective solution. This feature is ideal for situations like offering an early access sale to a specific group or hand-picking individuals who are allowed to register for your event. If you are looking to hand-select individuals for your event, you might also consider using our Pre-Registration feature. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to password-protect your registration page, ensuring that only the desired registrants can gain access.

FAQs

If my page is password protected, why can't I see the password protection page when previewing my page?

The Password protection or Restrict Access screen for a page cannot be viewed in Preview Mode. This screen will only show and restrict access on a live, published page.

Can I set more than one password for a password-protected page?

No, only one password can be set per RedPodium page. If your page is password protected, all registrants must use the same password to access the page.

If I password protect my page and add a future registration open date, can people with the password access my page early?

No. If you've set your registration page to open on a future date, the registration open date controls when the registration page becomes available. The registration date takes priority over password protection, so the page will remain closed until the registration open date arrives.

If you want to give early access to a specific group of registrants, remove the future registration open date and use the password protection feature instead. Anyone with the password will be able to access the page before it is available to the general public.
